Your role:

Exciting opportunity in Group Finance India, Financial Data Services. Intern will assume responsibility for:

• Driving tactical automation/workflow initiatives within FDS processes
• Participating in team transformation initiatives, focusing on standardization, centralization, and expansion opportunities
• Supporting digitization, testing, and implementation of diverse projects
• Gaining project experience, handling documentation, and orienting stakeholders to new applications
• Collaborating with colleagues across all FDS workflows
• Taking part in digitization and innovation initiatives
• Assisting the Balance and PnL Adjustment process
• Tracking and reporting issues as they arise.

Your team:

As part of the UBS Group Off Campus Drive 2023 Hiring, the Finance Data Services team plays a crucial role in managing Finance Data within Group Finance. They have a wide range of responsibilities, such as handling Manual adjustments, user access management, conducting investigations, ensuring smooth communication, and resolving intercompany issues for global close and Daily reporting.

Additionally, this dedicated team provides vital support for Group and Regulated Financial Reporting, serving stakeholders across various departments like Regional Controlling and Accounting, Group Accounting, Parent Bank Control, and Product Control throughout Group Finance. They are present in strategic locations, including Switzerland, America, London, Singapore, and Hyderabad, India, all contributing to a seamless global financial framework.

Your expertise :

Currently pursuing B.Tech in CSE, IT, or EnTC with expertise in data transformation and data visualization. Proficient in data analysis, adept at working with massive complex datasets, and passionate about deriving data-driven insights. Skilled in accessing and retrieving data from various sources like Excel, SharePoint, and databases (knowledge of SQL is a plus). Familiarity with data sourcing and feeds.

Capable of developing high-quality Alteryx workflows and delivering dashboards using Tableau or Power BI. Collaborates with IT support to ensure data availability and proper controls in a timely manner. Executes ad-hoc runs/projects and investigates and resolves identified issues. Committed to standardization, streamlining processes, and supporting a robust governance framework.

Skills Required:

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in SQL is advantageous
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (C++, Python, Java) is a bonus
• Expected to take an active lead in projects and re-engineering initiatives to enhance processes across divisions and regions, actively participating in tactical and strategic initiatives
• Involved in reviewing and updating policies and procedures, ensuring proper implementation
• Assisting the team in implementing a best-practice control environment
• Excellent communication skills, fluent in both written and verbal English
